Types of Membership
(i)REGULAR MEMBERSHIP (CLOSED) Regular Membership is further divided into 5 sub-categories:-
    a) Local Member- Member residing in Delhi/NCR is considered as a local member.
ii)TENURE MEMBERSHIP

Tenure Membership is further divided into 3 sub-categories:-
  1. All India Service: For AIS officers (IAS, IPS & Indian Forest Service) who are on a fixed central deputation against any post in Delhi/NCR. (Pay Level 12 and above). The membership will be for the tenure of the post held.
  1. Central Staffing Scheme: Officers posted on central deputation under Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) in Delhi/ NCR for a fixed tenure – Deputy Secy. & above (Pay Level 12). For lateral entrants, Pay level 13 & above.
  1. Temporary Tenure Membership Officers of Director and above rank (Pay Level 13) coming through Civil Services Examination, currently posted in Delhi/NCR under Central Government who are otherwise eligible for membership. They are given membership for a period of 03 years followed by a cooling-off period of 01 year. These officers will be eligible for re-induction and charged afresh.

 

Spouse Membership

On the demise of the Primary Member, the spouse shall be entitled to membership, subject to submission of an application along with the death certificate of the member to the Administration Section, CSOI, Vinay Marg. No dependent cards are entitled under this category. Full subscription shall be payable, and voting rights shall not be applicable to this category.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FEE

The Annual Subscription shall be paid by the member in advance i.e. by 31st March every year. Thereafter, a late fee shall be applicable. The revised policy details are outlined below:

    2. aa) The local and outstation categories have been merged into a single unified class of membership with a uniform annual subscription fee of ₹6000 (GST 18% extra) per annum, regardless of their location. However, serving officers posted outstation will be charged @ ₹3000 (GST 18% extra). The serving officers posted outside Delhi/NCR are requested to provide documents in support. However, the officers on re-employment post superannuation will not be treated as serving officers.

    ab) The revised annual subscription policy is effective from April 01, 2026.

  1. Exemption Policy:

    2. ba) Member attaining the age of 75 years and also completing 20 years of association with CSOI will be entitled for 50%exemption o annual subscription i.e. he/ she has to pay ₹3000/- (GST 18% extra).

    bb) The revised exemption policy shall be effective from April 01, 2026

LATE FEE CHARGES

NIL                       

If payment is made on or before 15th April of the year preceding the financial year to which it relates.

Rs.500/-               

If payment is made between 15th April and 30th September of the relevant financial year and services continue uninterrupted.

Rs. 2,500/-

If payment is not made between 1st October and 31st March of the relevant financial year, and services are blocked by CSOI.

Rs.10,000/-

If payment is not made for one financial year. Illustration: If payment is not made for the financial year 2019-20, restoration charges shall be applicable w.e.f. 01.04.2020, and services shall remain blocked until payment.

Rs.15,000/-

If payment is not made for two consecutive financial years.Illustration: If payment is not made for the financial years 2019–20 and 2020–21, restoration charges shall be applicable w.e.f. 01.04.2021, and services shall remain blocked until payment.

Note* If payment is not made even after two consecutive financial years, the member’s name shall be placed on the Termination List. Thereafter, the individual may apply for fresh membership, and if approved, shall be required to pay fresh membership charges.

ONE TIME LIFE MEMBERSHIP FEE

Life Membership shall be granted to regular members only upon receipt of the prescribed One-Time Life Membership Fee, as applicable to the Primary Member’s age group, as detailed below.
